The Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School District is seeking interested community members to apply for a vacancy on the Governing Board. The appointed position will fill the remainder of a four-year term ending in December 2028. The seat will then appear on the November 2026 ballot for a new two-year term.

Community members interested in serving on the Board must:

• Submit a completed Board Candidate Information Sheet
• Provide proof of residency within the Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School District boundaries
• Be a registered voter and at least 18 years of age

Applications are due no later than Friday, June 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

The application asks candidates to share information about their educational background, work and volunteer experience, school and community involvement, and their interest in serving on the Board.
